Day 1 Learn the basics of Lean and prepare for the SWE Day
Day 2 Participate in the Simulated Work Environment Day
Day 3 Reflective learning and Industry tour.
Participants learn to remove waste from any process, improving quality, reducing safety incidents and costs and improving productivity. This is a great team building experience, which also strengthens communication and team collaboration. This training can provide formal recognition of the following competencies, which will contribute to qualifications in Competitive Systems and Practices.

MSS403081 Ensure Process Improvements are sustained
MSS403026 Work within a constrained process
Full cost is $2100. Eligible businesses will be offered the opportunity for subsidies through Skills Tasmania.

MSS40322 Certificate IV (Lean) Competitive Systems & Practices
Duration: 8 Months – 1 session per month for 6 months

Certificate IV in Competitive Systems and Practices – MSS40322 People Improvers (RTO ID 45208), through their sister company Productivity Improvers, deliver Certificate IV in Competitive Systems and Practices. This certification targets team leaders or individuals who are responsible for facilitating and monitoring the implementation of competitive systems and practices. Participants will utilise their knowledge and analytical skills to drive change and foster efficiency improvements in a team environment and on an individual basis.
Duration: 8 Months including 1 face to face session per month for 6 months.
It is appropriate to allocate time in the workplace for applying the learning (2-8hrs per month).

Full Cost: $5,500 per person

These sessions will provide students with a practical understanding of one of the Lean foundational tools of 5S. Students will use Sort, Set, Shine, Standardise and Sustain to identify and minimise waste. This provides a framework for continuous improvement.
