On October 6th 2015 Directors Michael Bonney and Clynton Jaffray were presented with Citations for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning by the University of Tasmania.
Received in recognition for their participation with The Regional Training Alliance delivering Competitive Systems and Practice (Lean) training for students during 2014, Michael and Clynton were pleased to celebrate with other members of the teaching team Dayna Broun, Michelle Marsden and Clayton Hawkins. The Award was presented by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor David Sadler. The Australian Maritime College, as the Registered Training Organisation for the Alliance, was represented by Mr. Martin Crees-Morris. Dr Colin Jones of UTas also received the Citation but was unable to attend the ceremony.
"The Alliance is a terrific model of collaboration between organsations who have a combined passion for student learning" Director Clynton Jaffray said. "The Award recognised our efforts to develop and deliver an innovative, intergrated and applied pathway from VET to higher education for workers and managers in regional industries. We had some great outcomes and that learning goes on to benefit the Tasmanian businesses who participated. We also acknowledge the assistance of both the Cradle Coast Authority and the Tasmanian Government who coordinated and supported the Alliance".
